My Job: Park Ranger
I have the enviable task of exploring Queensland's natural wonders and sharing my experiences with the rest of the world. I work alongside experienced guides and tourism operators who interpret and showcase these areas.
I have the opportunity to immerse myself in the underwater wonderland of the Great Barrier Reef and so much more. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, in the most vast and spectacular outdoor office on Earth! No two days are the same.
Some of my key tasks:
-Patrol beaches.
Queensland has over 7,400 km of coastline, it will keep me busy for a while!
-Get to know the locals-from kangaroos to turtles, crocodiles to cassowaries.
-Dig for dinosaurs in the Outback.
-Climb the world's largest sand dune and leave only footprints.
-Swim, dive and snorkel the world's largest aquarium and check the water temperature for more than 1,500 species of marine life on the Great Barrier Reef.
-Witness life-changing natural events like turtle hatching or whale migrating.
