I can’t believe it but my time as a “special” Park Ranger is now over! All good things come to an end as we say…
So sad but I had a blast and lived such an incredible adventure for 6 months. For this special date, I concocted a list per category of my best experiences in Queensland, my Best Job in the World’s Awards! Check it out as there are my the best addresses and travel tips in Queensland!

Part of the Whitsundays region, this island is home of the mythical Whitehaven beach, the beach where I learnt the definition of “perfection”. There is no word to how beautiful this place is….
Located in Southern Queensland Country, Girraween is about 3 hours away from Brisbane. I was amazed by its giant granite boulder balanced on a top of the mountain. Wow !
Group of eight islands, which are part of the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area (Lady Musgrave, North West, Mast Head, Wilson, Erskine and Tryon islands, and part of Heron Island). Crazy to stay there and been the feet in the reef!

Nudey Beach: one of the most photographed beaches in Queensland! Giant boulder which gives it a bit of character, stunning white sand and turquoise water, what else?
The purest sand I have ever seen in my life, here the sand is 99% pure silica! Every time you come to admire this paradise, it looks different (tides, sky etc)
Known as Straddie for the locals, it’s a great island easily accessible from Brisbane. Particularly like swimming at Cylinder Beach.

TOP 6 Crystal Clear Waterfalls
After driving hours and hours on gravel roads, making our way to the top of Australia, these falls were paradise on earth, to refresh and play! Located in Jardine River National Park, Cape York Peninsula.
Zoe Falls on Hinchinbrook island. Like nothing else in Queensland. This is one of the highlight of the famous Thorsborne Trail, reputedly one of the world’s best backpacking
In the world class Springbrook National Park. Unforgettable evening spent watching the glow worms in the cave. So pretty site.

Quirky tree houses with a bathroom with view (opened on the rainforest)! I especially liked the zen garden and the cassowary wake up call! Brilliant! – à Daintree National Rainforest.

Aboard a seaplane and seeing the Heart Reef from the air. Realising that Whitehaven Beach is even more stunning from above, incredible!
4WDriving on the largest sand island in the world: Fraser Island! Very unique because “the road” is classified as a national highway and is also an airport lane!
Staying on an idyllic tropical island for 3 days: Reachable only per helicopter, Orpheus is a beautiful island in the Coral Sea, close to Townsville. National Park and Barrier Reef sanctuary. Here stress, worries and routine leave place to bliss, pleasure and pamper.
